KILLING RAILA ODINGA- JAKOYOS CLAIMS HAVE FURTHER HARMED RAILA’S PRESIDENTIAL AMBITIONS
The claim by Jakoyo Midiwo the chief whip that there was a plan to assassinate prime minister Raila Odinga have in the minds of sane people further harmed the already dwindling chances of Raila to becoming Kenyas next president.  The claims seem at best foolish and at worst naive-and desperate. Many see this as a diversionary tactic from the painful realities at ODM-a party which is on its death bed. As soon as Mudavadi pulls out-as he almost certainly will, Railas dream to lead Kenya will have received yet another blow and he most likely will become the president than never was. Raila seems very keen to keep close to him individuals who will agree to him-politely called sycophants. Look at Jakoyo-he simply looks like a hooligan or a street personality more alike to Kibera and Mathare not an aide to a presidential hopeful.  Even when Raila claims not to be tribal all those close to him-his advisers in his office and in politics-are all from his community. All with names starting with the letter O. At least Kibaki has broad support and close advisers from outside Gema and that is important. Its sad for James Orengo-an otherwise clever lawyer to refer to the PM as your Excellency. Nowhere in the world of protocol is a prime minister addressed as your Excellency. He is addressed as the right honourable. This further makes those close to Raila as cheap jokers who will go to any length-to worship him and undermine Kenyas sitting president. Why undermine an office you want your candidate to occupy. Even in America no opposition politician would ever undermine the office of the presidency. Only Luo ODM politicians would.  Secondly the political arithmetic is getting tricky and looking at all the vote rich Kenyan regions, Raila is a NO NO candidate. Look at Rift Valley-Ruto; -Eastern-Merus and Kambas have their own choice-who is NOT RAILA. By losing Najib Balala-and not friends with Chirau- Raila has already lost the Coast vote. How he treats and parts ways with Mudavadi will seal Railas fate in the vote rich Western Kenya. With Jakoyos claims-the Kisii vote is probably gone. Kisiis are very smart voters and dont follow like SHEEP. They will not kindly to Midiwo dragging their SON Ongeri into the assassinations claims.  Central Kenya is out of Railas reach. Nairobi is half half and most likely not Railas place. That leaves him with Kibera, Nyanza and North Eastern which alone cannot deliver the presidency.  Even worse is that all of Railas opponents-Ruto, Kenyatta, Kalonzo, etc would find Mudavadi a more acceptable candidate than Raila. Kibakis wish is clearly that Raila doesnt become Kenyan fourth president. Mudavadi is competent, capitalist (understands the important role of business and commerce) and politically moderate and pragmatic compared to Raila who is mediocre, socialist, reactionary and activist.  Unless a miracle happens- Railas troubles will ONLY increase and he must be happy that he ever became Kenyas prime minister. Insults are welcome-they dont change the truth-or painful political realities.  SOURCE
